Today for Erica's Design Team one of the challenges was to use embossing powder on your project. I'm still relatively new to using embossing powder (this is only my third project using it), so I was eager to find a way to try to incorporate embossing into my project.
Using the Art Philosophy cartridge, I cut out the heart shaped 3D box. I cut it out at 12 inches using the fit to page feature. Using the same cartridge, I cut out three flowers using white paper - one at five inches and two at 3 inches. I inked the flowers using tulip ink from Close to My Heart. I used Stickles in Stardust around the edges of the flowers for a little blinged look. I used the Mad About You stamp set also from Close to My Heart and stamped the sentiment Happy Valentine's Day using black pigment ink. I used clear embossing powder and my heat tool to set the powder. I also strung ribbon to be used as a handle.
This project was very easy to create and done in less than 30 minutes.
I hope I have inspired you become creative today. Happy crafting!!!!! ♥

ReplyDeleteTiff those flowers are from the ART Philosophy cart? oh boy... i have a new cart on my list! LOVE THIS PROJECT!! I never do 3-d flowers because I'm not very good at them and don't have any carts that do them!! I need this cart!!! I have a friend that can do them in fabric and I've been trying to get her over FOREVER to teach me but she has 3 kiddos and finding time can get difficult - Hopefully this weekend!! We are trying anyway :) Second time we've rescheduled!
