Altered Frame ♥

Hello everyone!!

I have many photos that I've taken and they are just stored in my computer (counterproductive I know, lol). Today I decided to print one of my many pictures and put it in a frame that I altered.

I purchased this frame from Michael's (it's one of the nicer wood frames. I used a coupon and got it for 40% off the original price). Here is what it looked like before I worked my magic, lol:

Now here is what it looks like after I worked on it.

This picture was taken two years ago when I completed my Master's degree. I was definitely happy!!

I first painted the frame with acrylic paint from Golden. The paper is from Close to My Heart and the flower is from Prima. The banners on the top left were punched using my Big Shot and the Spellbinder's die Pretty Pennants. I used a scallop and circle punch for the "medallion" on the top left. The happy banner on the top right is from a clearance shelf at Michael's. I think the manufacturer is My Mind's Eye (although I'm not 100% sure). I used my Xyron 1" sticker maker to adhere the banners and medallion.

I really like the way this turned out. I'm going to have to print my pictures and put them in frames more often!

Stay tuned for more art work and projects: coming soon! ♥

More Copic Coloring

Hello everyone!!!

My summer vacation is nearly over...and I go back to work the day after Labor Day. I've gone in to set up my classroom and I'm ready for my new students to arrive!

Since I only have a few days left, I decided to keep my mind occupied by using my Copics to improve my coloring. Here are two cards that I worked on today.

The Halloween card is super cute! The paper comes from the Mischief (retired) paper pack from Close to My Heart. The sentiment shape comes from the Artiste cartridge and the sentiment comes from the Spellbound Workshop on the Go Kit from Close to My Heart. Although the Mischief paper is recently retired, the new Moonlight paper pack is just as adorable!

This card I think has a slight vintage feel to it. The paper comes from Kaiser Kraft paper pad. The border comes from a Martha Stewart Punch. The flowers are Prima flowers. The ovals come from the Art Philosophy cartridge. Both the Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridges are exclusive to Close to My Heart. PM me for details on how you can get FREE SHIPPING on either cartridge.

I hope that you have enjoyed my creations and I hope that I have inspired you to become crafty!

Link Up for Pink Challenge Number 3

Hi Everyone!!

Yolie and her design team are hosting a Link Up for Pink challenge for Breast Cancer Awareness. You can find out more info on her BLOG!

Here is my submission ---- a very simple card that speaks volumes. So many women are affected by this terrible disease. We all need to find the courage and strength to fight the disease and we need the love of our family and friends to keep us going. The stamped words come from My Pink Stamper - Hope and Courage.

The paper comes from Close to My Heart and the "flags" were cut using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge also from CTMH. The flower is from Prima.
